    June Update

    Eep! A very busy month means that I missed posting May’s update – sorry! But, I am back for June. Here’s what I’ve been up to this month: Things That Fall – Things That Fall releases in 3 months! And a few weeks ago, I finished the proof edits. It’s so much fun seeing the book typeset for print, and with those edits complete, the publisher will soon be printing ARCs. Yay! Revenant – 1st round Revenant edits are complete! It’s been a while since I visited Cal during his second summer with the Oracle of Senders, so it was great delving back into the world.     April Update: Edits and More Edits!

    Well, April’s almost over(!) So this month’s update is a little late. But nevertheless, it’s here now! So here’s what I’ve been up to: Things That Fall – I’ve completed the copy edits for Things That Fall, which will be releasing this September with Dancing Cat Books. Finishing edits is such a fun part of the publishing process – it really makes the reality of having a book releasing come alive! Revenant – I have also received my first batch of edits for Revenant (Oracle of Senders, book 2). I don’t have a firm release date for this one yet, but it’s possible it will be out this summer.     Hello everyone! It’s March, which means we’re finally (maybe…hopefully…?) getting closer to spring. YAY! Today, I wanted to devote my entire March update to sharing with you all the cover of my upcoming YA Contemporary – Things that Fall!     February Update: Happy Valentine’s Day!

    We’re halfway through February – how crazy is that? Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day or are simply looking forward to the looming promise of spring, February is a special month. And a busy one! Here’s what I’ve been up to this month: WIP – Yes, I’ve started working on another new WIP–while I await edits on two projects, and the submission status of another.     January Update – New Year, New Project, and a Release Date!

    It’s January! The new year has gotten off to a busy start, and winter seems to be settling in. While I’m not a fan of the cold, I do love this time of year because it always invigorates my spirit and gets me in the mood to work! This month, I’ve started writing a new book – this isn’t something I planned on doing, but it’s a small project, which makes it an excellent thing to putter around with between edits on my larger ones!     December Update – Wrap-Up, Titles, and the Holiday Season

    Welcome December! I love this time of year. While I’m not actually a huge winter fan, I am a lover of the holiday season. Warm drink, festive movies, and the simple joy of wrapping presents is always amazing, =). But, while the month is busy with holiday happenings, it’s also a busy time for writing as well!     November Update: NaNoWriMo, Edits, & A Title Change!

    It’s November! The weather’s getting colder (it’s currently snowing here, in fact!) and the year is starting to near its end. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately: NaNoWriMo – It’s that time of year again! I’m not participating in the full event this year, but I am working on my own November editing goals as part of an awesome group of writer moms.     October Update: Introducing October Gold

      It’s October! I love this time of year – cooler weather, spooky things abounding, and the holiday season on the horizon. Perfect, =) Life has been busy this past month, and I’ve got exciting news to share! My next YA Contemporary novel has a publisher! Tentatively titled October Gold, this Canadian, family-centric YA will be published by the wonderful Dancing Cat Books in 2019!     September Update: School, Work, and Writing!

      It’s already September! The time is flying, and this month is certainly a busy one. After completing my awesome day at the Cambridge Comic Arts Festival, I enjoyed a bit of downtime at home before my oldest started his first year of school! Now, I’m getting ready to head back into the world of librarianship, while also working on a couple of awesome writing projects.     August Update: Comic Con, Facebook Party, and Cover Reveal!

    Hey everyone! It’s the middle of august, and I can’t believe it.  September will be a crazy month around here, but before then I’ve got a few things on the go to finish off the last full month of summer! This Saturday, August 25th, I’ll be attending The Cambridge Comic Arts Festival in Cambridge, Ontario!
