Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Lexa Cain, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life!

This week, I’m celebrating:

  • Nice email conversations – I don’t know about you, but usually my emails are pretty straight-forward question/answer, request/response kind of messages. But this week, I had some casual, friendly email exchanges…it was a nice change!
  • Shopping for Halloween costumes! – Okay, it’s still August. But I shop early for everything (yes, I’ve already started my Christmas shopping, too!), so for my family, it’s prime costume shopping-time. It’s so much fun hunting for each piece, and finding incredible deals at the same time!

What are you celebrating this week?

I haven't started Halloween costumes yet, but I just bought a table cloth printed with pumpkins for Fall. As to the Christmas shopping – yay! My hubs makes fun of me for storing up presents already, but it makes life so much easier later. Have a great week!
    2. Oh, I'm envious! I need to start my Halloween & Christmas shopping early. I'm always a last minute gal. It is nice to have friendly email conversations–they usually are just business. Have a lovely week!

    3. That's nice about the e-mails. I've been noticing how the stores are already putting out their Halloween stuff. Guess I'd better get busy! I do try to Christmas shop year round so I'm not buying tons of stuff at the last minute. Good luck with your costume hunting!

It is nice to connect with people online or in emails, especially other writers who really "get it." I hope you find the perfect Halloween costume – and I want pictures!!!

Nice to be prepared for the holidays, right? Also means you get a little more freedom in your costume, since you have time to find all the right pieces.
    6. Wow, time really does fly. I'm also getting in a Fall / holidays state of mind.
    7. I haven't even thought of the holidays yet. Time to get out the door plaques I guess. So glad the weather is finally cooling.

Halloween? Now I'm seriously going to have cardiac arrest. I'm still thinking suntan lotion and beach umbrellas!
    9. Just started getting ready for the Fall Holidays, thankfully my children are too old for dressing up on Halloween, which is for us a religious holiday anyway. (Samhain). So we are going to have a feast – just don't ask me yet what.
      Have a great week.
