Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life!

This week, I’m celebrating:

  • My husband being finished a long stretch of shifts. It is really nice to actually see him again for more than an hour or two!
  • Going to the bookstore. Usually at Christmas I get at least one gift card for the bookstore from someone, which means I’ve sort of gotten used to an after-Christmas trip to buy books. I didn’t get any this year, but we’re still going to go =). There is just something so lovely about walking around the store and picking out a book from the shelves.

What are you celebrating this week?

I remember working weird shifts like that so hubby and I didn't have to pay for a sitter. Exhausting on both of us. Glad you finally have time again with each other. Have fun at the book store!

I used to work weird shifts all the time so I never saw my fiance. It really starts to get to you after a while. Hope you guys get to spend a lot of time together this weekend!

Yay for seeing your husband at last! And there's nothing more fun than strolling through a bookstore, reading lots of back covers, deciding which books sound best, and buying them!

BTW, I’ve taken over hosting the Celebrate the Small Things hop, and we have a new linky for 2015. Please drop by my blog and sign up, so hop members can see your link and continue visiting you.

A good old-fashioned brick-and-mortar bookstore browse is my favorite part of the post-holiday season. ^.^

I'm celebrating getting up this morning if the truth be told. Sometimes that's not as easy as it used to be.
