Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life!

This week, I’m celebrating:

  • Our stairs finally have proper railings! The people that owned the house before us wanted an open concept, I guess, so they tore down the original railing for the stairs, and added a little unmatched one against the wall (leaving a giant empty space between the other side of the stairs and, well, the ground of the floor below them…dangerous, and totally not to code). So, we’ve taken off the little railing, and had proper ones installed up the stairs and along the second-floor hallway. They look quite nice, and I feel much safer going up and down the stairs now!
  • I’ve taken (another) break from my stubbornly difficult manuscript, and am instead reworking a different one that is much closer to completion, and which is making me much happier! I’m changing one of the sort of subplots, which is going to give the story more depth, but luckily it doesn’t mean I have to rewrite the entire thing. And I’m enjoying it, which is always the best, =)

What are you celebrating this week?

That would scare me, glad the stairs got fixed. I need rails!

Subplots are what's giving me issues. Well the biggest subplot is what I have a problem with, grrr. The rest is mostly in place, thank goodness. Happy writing! 🙂

Great to celebrate that railing. We had a catastrophe when our railing was broken. Learned out lesson.

      Hope your weekend is wonderful.
