Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life!

Again, I’m combining 2 weeks into one. So my celebrations over the last couple of weeks have been:

Edits! Sometimes they are tedious and horrible, but they are also fabulous and wonderful because you start seeing your story in its complete form, and that’s awesome.
We’ve been purging our house, clearing out junk from each room and organizing our things. It feels so nice to clear out the stuff we don’t need anymore.
Cooler weather! Been baking a lot lately. Last weekend I even made a split-second decision pumpkin pie (seriously. I asked my husband if he wanted me to make a pumpkin pie, and he said yes, and we went to the grocery store to buy pumpkin so I could bake immediately).
What are you celebrating this week?

  1. Edits are horrible, only because they're never ending! Each time you think you're done, but then learn you've still got much to do. But, like you said, once said and done, you are so thrilled with the final (or always near final) product!

Great for the house cleaning! I've got to do that in my office. It's getting to be a mess. 🙂 Writer’s Mark

Mm, pumpkin pie. The squashes in our garden are just about ready to be harvested, so I'm digging out my recipe books. Soups and curries are great, but we need to find something new this year.

Hurrah to edits and purging the house. Purging is like editing isn't it, pruning to reveal what's underneath!
