Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life!

I’m combining this week and last week for this Celebrate the Small Things.

So this “week” I am celebrating:

Realized that another of Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s early MG/YA stories has been released in English! I really enjoy him, and The Watcher in the Shadowssounds like a really awesome gothic-y tale. I’ve picked up a copy, of course, and have started reading!

Found a kindred spirit in one of our summer students at the library. She lugged a gigantic volume of Sherlock Holmes stories into the break room the other day…after a brief discussion, we realized we both started reading the stories after watching the same version of the show, and we had both begun with the same novel, and shared all of the same excitements about it! It was an awesome conversation to have with a teen, =D

Husband and me went and saw Spamalot on the weekend. I was surprised by how much it is literally Monty Python and the Holy Grail, just in stage form. Nevertheless, it was hilarious, and a great way to spend our Saturday afternoon.

 – Got a lot of writing done on my WIP. Still in the early stages where I’m very much just writing to see where the story goes, but I’m having fun with it =)

This upcoming weekend is a long weekend! Hoping to get some quality reading and writing completed.

What are you celebrating this week?

Ventured in to see/read your latest Save-A-Word-Saturday feature, and ended up enjoying this post just as much. Am glad you have much to celebrate, and best wishes with your WIP, which I hope shapes up to your liking. Happy writing!
