Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Lexa Cain, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life!

This week, I’m celebrating:

  • Having two functional cars! – So, last we spoke, I had to buy a new car because our old clunker had died on us. Well, after we settled on a car (but before we could pick it up from the lot), our other car got both rear-ended and had the door ripped out of alignment by the wind so it wouldn’t shut anymore o_o. Needless to say, it was not a happy week. But, we have the new car now, and the other car is still dinged up but at least has a functioning door. It’s nice to have them working, and I hope it stays that way!
  • November – It’s November. Halloween was pretty uneventful (although we did have the little guy in an adorable costume!), and now we’re into the deep fall. I’ve mentioned before that November is the beginning of the holiday season here (it has to be…we have so many holiday movies to watch, and so many people to buy gifts for, we can’t cram it all into December!) so I’m looking forward to getting in a festive mood. This week has actually be ridiculously nice weather-wise, which has been great. But this morning it’s dark and dreary out, and that’s kind of awesome, too.

What are you celebrating this week?

  1. I’m still trying to ignore the Christmas season (despite the stores). Mostly because I want to enjoy it that much more come 1st of Advent. But I have a huge chunk of my shopping done already. Glad you had a nice weather week!

Holy cow! How windy is it where you live? I’ve never heard of a door being blown about of alignment. Thank goodness it’s fixed and that you have a new car now! I love fall. It always passes too quickly for me to enjoy it. Wishing you a lovely weekend!
