Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life!

This week, I’m celebrating:

  • I mentioned in my last post that my doctor has taken me off work for the remainder of my pregnancy. It would have been nice not to have any kinds of complications, but in a situation like this, you’ve got to look at the bright side of having some extra time off to get things done around the house and get in some last minute relaxation!

  • I’m also working on my manuscript, pulling the final bits of it together. I’m thinking I have somewhere around two or three chapters left to write of this first draft? Getting near the end is definitely a celebration within itself, especially as my own deadline looms a week away!

What are you celebrating this week?

Best wishes for your time off and your final months of pregnancy. I somehow think expectant mothers should be issued membership to a pampering spa and free foot rubs (at least, the foot rubs are something universally agreed upon by my friends who know). Good luck with the writing/polishing! I love that time.

        Enjoy your weekend!

Yay for getting so close to finishing! Hope you'll treat yourself when it's done 🙂

You've got the right attitude. Enjoy that time to write!

Tomorrow marks the first weekend since summer's start where I don't have to work the local Ren Faire. Fun as that gig is, the long hours of social interaction take a LOT out of me (introverts unite! Separately! In your own homes!), so I'm looking forward to recovering from that. X)

In other celebratory news, I sure am glad my dad made it back from his out-of-country business trip in one piece! I'm a worrier, so his safe return gives me one less thing to fret about.

      5. Sounds like the trick will be to actually rest like your doctor wants you to. But the nesting instinct…it can kick in hard. Feet up! Rest! 🙂

I hope it goes well, though I am sorry that your withdrawal from work at your doctor's direction is a response to issues. I hope you get enough rest to resolve any problems, and I hope that helps you with home and writing projects that you truly enjoy!
