    February Update: Happy Valentine’s Day!

We’re halfway through February – how crazy is that? Whether you celebrate Valentine’s Day or are simply looking forward to the looming promise of spring, February is a special month. And a busy one! Here’s what I’ve been up to this month: WIP – Yes, I’ve started working on another new WIP–while I await edits on two projects, and the submission status of another. The temptation was too great – this story’s been in my head for a while, and I’m excited to finally be writing it! Audiobooks – I’ve been listening to a lot of audiobooks lately. I love audiobooks. Between work, writing, kids, and just pure exhaustion, I…

January Update – New Year, New Project, and a Release Date!

It’s January! The new year has gotten off to a busy start, and winter seems to be settling in. While I’m not a fan of the cold, I do love this time of year because it always invigorates my spirit and gets me in the mood to work! This month, I’ve started writing a new book – this isn’t something I planned on doing, but it’s a small project, which makes it an excellent thing to putter around with between edits on my larger ones! It’s a fun little story, and I’m enjoying working on it, =) Most excitingly, my upcoming YA Contemporary Things That Fall has a release date!…

December Update – Wrap-Up, Titles, and the Holiday Season

Welcome December! I love this time of year. While I’m not actually a huge winter fan, I am a lover of the holiday season. Warm drink, festive movies, and the simple joy of wrapping presents is always amazing, =). But, while the month is busy with holiday happenings, it’s also a busy time for writing as well! Here’s what I’m up to this month: NaNoWriMo Wrap-Up – With the beginning of December comes the end of the NaNoWriMo season. If you participated this year, how did you do? I partook in a more laid back version of events, focusing on editing a current manuscript. I’m happy to say I surpassed…

November Update: NaNoWriMo, Edits, & A Title Change!

It’s November! The weather’s getting colder (it’s currently snowing here, in fact!) and the year is starting to near its end. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately: NaNoWriMo – It’s that time of year again! I’m not participating in the full event this year, but I am working on my own November editing goals as part of an awesome group of writer moms. It’s been dubbed Mom-O-Wri-Mo – a more laid back approach to the month! It’s going well so far. Hopefully the pace will continue =) Edits – This goes along with the previous point. I’m currently working on edits for one project, with two other edits on…

September Update: School, Work, and Writing!

It’s already September! The time is flying, and this month is certainly a busy one. After completing my awesome day at the Cambridge Comic Arts Festival, I enjoyed a bit of downtime at home before my oldest started his first year of school! Now, I’m getting ready to head back into the world of librarianship, while also working on a couple of awesome writing projects. Of course, I’ve been busy writing and editing the upcoming Oracle of Senders books. Keep an eye out for more information regarding book 2 in the series, Revenant, coming soon! And, if you like YA Contemporaries with family themes and fall settings, then definitely…
