    Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! It’s the Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend, and I’ve definitely got a lot to be thankful for. But today, I wanted to focus on giving thanks as a writer! This weekend, writer me is thankful for: Marketing and cover discussions for my upcoming Orca Publishing book, Getting the Brush Off (working title). Brush Off is scheduled for release next fall, which means planning officially starts now! It’s so exciting to start thinking about its release, and as we move closer to next fall, I’ll have more and more details to share! More exciting book news that’s on its way…stayed tuned ^_^ The fun of my latest short story…

    Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life! This week, I’m celebrating: Christmas! Had a lovely Christmas with my husband and our son. It was his first one, so it was of course extra special. Christmas books! I have a dream that one year I’ll get nothing but books for Christmas. Unfortunately, no one likes buying me books for some reason (I guess they figure I have more than enough access to them myself, but really, that’s not an excuse!) My husband’s the only one who gets me any, but luckily for me, he does, in fact, get me…

We made the appointment weeks ago, so it’s a relief to have it done. The Pre-Christmas birthday season! My sister’s birthday was this week, and both my mom and my sister-in-law have theirs next week. December is a busy month in our family! What are you celebrating this week?

I’m slowly but surely nearing the end of my current book, however, and I’ve just ordered My True Love Gave to Me, so I want to start that soon and hopefully finish it before Christmas! Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life! This week, I’m celebrating: The agent round for Nightmare in Query Street was this week, and it ended up being amazing. I got 4 requests, and had a ton of fun on Twitter with the other contestants/mentors/cheerleaders! It’s Halloween! We’re not actually doing anything more than handing out candy and watching some horror movies (the latter of which is fairly typical of any given night around here), but it’s still a fun day, =) Tomorrow is November 1st, which means it’s Die Hard Day. We start our holiday movie watching in…

    Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life! This week, I’m celebrating: I’m back! After my baby break, I’m slowly working back into blogging and general socialness…not sure I’ll be able to make a post every week, but I’m going to try! While I was on break, my second short story came out in the Amok! anthology by April Moon Books! It’s exciting to say I’ve now got two published stories…and it’s a lot of fun seeing the collections on my shelves, =) This weekend is Thanksgiving. Going to my parents, and will be making first introductions of Finn…

    Gearing Up for Fall

Okay, so I’m not likely going to have much time to enjoy the relaxing nature of Autumn this year. But since I’ll have a very good reason for a rather hectic schedule, =D, I don’t mind. However, I have definitely been in fall overdrive for the last few weeks, even though fall won’t actually hit for a few weeks more. I think I’m trying to squeeze in as much of the cozy atmosphere as I can before I’m too busy to notice it! And so I thought I would share what I’m most enjoying/looking forward to this upcoming fall (baby-ness excluded, because that’s a given!) Photo From: http://www.oklibrary.org/ The leaves…

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life! This week, I’m celebrating: Today is my husband’s birthday, and tomorrow and next Wednesday are our anniversaries (dating/marriage). So, it’s a very celebratory time around here! And in addition to all of that, there’s a long weekend ahead of us, too! Not going to do much except relax and read and write, but that’s definitely something I am looking forward to, =) What are you celebrating this week?

    Celebrate the Small Things

Hosted by Viklit, this is a great weekly chance to talk about the small things worth celebrating in life! My celebrations for this week are:  Did some writing yesterday! I haven’t done much writing at all lately, so this was wonderful. Hopefully I’ll get some more done over the weekend, but we move in a week (yikes!) and I have pretty much the entire house to pack…so we’ll see how that goes! It was March Break for the kids here, which meant tons of activities at the library this week. Seriously, for anyone who wonders what the library’s worth is…come to a March Break program (around here, anyways). They did…
